Niagara parents asked to fill out return to school intent

Parents with children in the District School Board of Niagara have until Monday to let the board know what they plan to do in September.
Elementary school students can stay at home or return to class full time.
The board says it has implemented enhanced health and safety protocols, including mandatory masks for all staff and students grade 4 to 8.
Meanwhile, secondary school students can do online learning or an adaptive model of in-school learning.
The adaptive option includes an online portion and will see students split into cohorts of about 15, with in-school classes three days a week.
The school board is asking parents to let them know online by Aug. 17.
The first day of school is scheduled to be Sept. 8.
