Thousands of people are expected in Queen Victoria Park on Saturday evening for the flip the switch ceremony, which will light up millions of bulbs. The displays run down the Niagara Parkway from Clifton Hill to Dufferin Islands.

This is the 32nd year for the Ontario Power Generation Festival of Lights.   This year’s featured performance is by the Zero Gravity Circus.

Tina Myers, OPG Winter Festival of Lights: We are really excited because this year we have Zero Gravity Circus coming down. And they’re going to be doing aerial hoop performances. So there’s a 35-foot rigging system that they will be suspended from in front of the Falls. So the Falls is going to be their backdrop. And it’s going to end in a trio of fire pyrotechnics, and then the flip the switch countdown and our fireworks over the Falls.”

In December, Clifton Hill will come alive with animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle displays. And to top it all off, the fireworks displays over the falls will be green. Saturday’s event starts at 6pm.
