Niagara Falls residents face additional charges in human trafficking investigation

Two Niagara Falls residents who were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking face more charges.
Niagara police say they discovered that there were other alleged victims.
Kelly Downey, 41, is charged with kidnapping with a firearm, assault and forcible confinement.
That’s in addition to earlier charges of trafficking in persons, kidnapping and forcible confinement.
Dameon Mcdonald, 43, is charged with kidnapping with a firearm and forcible confinement, in addition to an earlier sexual assault and kidnapping charge.
Both are being held in custody.
The pair were initially arrested in October, along with a third person, in a human trafficking investigation focused on a residence in the Buckeye Cres. and Kalar Rd. area.
Detectives say they have reason to believe there could be more victims.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
