Niagara police have arrested a man following an investigation into multiple historical sexual assaults on young people in the Niagara region.

Officers say an investigation led them to identify a 52-year-old man that they say allegedly sexually assaulted two teenage boys between the years of 1996 and 2016.

Police arrested 52-year-old Todd Douglas Williston from Niagara Falls Thursday and have charged him with offences including two counts of sexual interference, one count of sexual assault under 14 years, one count of sexual assault under 16 years, and pornography.

Williston was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled to take place at a St. Catharines courthouse Thursday.

Detectives say they have reason to suspect that there may be more victims.

Investigators say Williston is currently employed as a school bus driver in the City of Niagara Falls and is known to have been involved in the local martial arts community as a karate instructor.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
