Niagara Falls man charged after puppies abandoned rescued: police

Police have charged a man after five puppies were found abandoned along the Niagara Parkway in Niagara Falls last month.
Reports say the puppies were found on Dec. 28 after someone had heard whimpering coming from the shoreline.
That individual says they saw a white SUV speed off from the parking lot just south of Edgeworth Road before they found the puppies.
Police say that investigations revealed that seven shar-pei puppies had been abandoned. Four of those puppies remain in the care of the Niagara SPCA, while one was found deceased at the scene and two remain unaccounted for.
