Niagara Falls man arrested and charged in child pornography case

An April investigation by police into the online sexual exploitation of children has resulted in a Niagara Falls man being arrested and charged after uploading images of child pornography.

A search warrant was executed by investigators of the Niagara police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit at a home in the Niagara Falls area in June where evidence discovered led to an arrest.

Seventy-five-year-old Joseph Bognar of Niagara Falls is facing two charges of possessing child pornography and one count of accessing child pornography.

Bognar is being held in custody and is set to appear in a St. Catharines courthouse Wednesday for a bail hearing.
