Niagara Falls man arrested after police seize firearm, various drugs

Niagara police have arrested a man following a search warrant at a Lincoln home Thursday where they found and seized drugs and a firearm.

Officers say they began an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout the Region of Niagara in early 2025.

As part of the investigation, detectives say they discovered a man living in Lincoln was distributing illegal drugs.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the Lincoln home Thursday and seized a varied amount of illegal substances.

Detectives say they found amounts of suspected: fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, hydromorphone, ketamine, Percocet, Gamma Hydroxybutyrate, and psilocybin; $2,255 in Canadian currency, and a loaded Taurus handgun with a high-capacity magazine.

Police have arrested and charged 40-year-old Christopher Duclos of Niagara Falls, with offences involving possessing those suspected illegal drugs, as well as careless storage of a firearm and possessing a prohibited device.

Duclos was held in custody and is scheduled to attend a St. Catharines courthouse Friday.
