Niagara Falls family forced from home

The cause of a Niagara Falls house fire that kept firefighters busy for hours last night remains under investigation.

The fire department says the family who lived at the home on Schisler Road near Montrose Road, called 911 after they noticed flames coming from their garage over the dinner hour.

The family managed to escape unharmed as flames spread into the home.

Damage is extensive but there’s no estimate on the losses at this point.
