VIDEO: A man who helped bring the sport of cycling to a generation of Canadians has died at the age of 67 after a battle with prostate cancer.

Gordon Singleton was a World Champion, an Olympian and was named to the Order of Canada in 1986.

As a track cyclist, he was the first Canadian to ever claim a gold medal in the World Championships, back in 1982.

His son spoke with CHCH News this afternoon, watch the video to hear more.
