Niagara-bound Burlington Skyway to close every Friday in July

Commuters may experience delays as all Niagara-bound lanes on the Burlington Skyway bridge are scheduled to close for construction every Friday in July.

The City of Burlington says the closures are set to take place on July 7, 14, 21 and 28.

Construction workers will begin closing Niagara-bound lanes at 6:30 p.m. on Fridays and aim to have them fully shut down by 8 p.m.

All lanes will re-open by 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

In case of bad weather, the Friday-night construction will be rescheduled for Saturday night, with lanes re-opening by 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
