Niagara Region Animal Services is asking the public for help in identifying a dog.

The dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/ Boxer cross. He was picked up on June 13 by a passerby on Dunkirk Road in St. Catharines.

At approximately 7:30PM a witness saw a man driving a maroon, 1990’s model, Ford F-150 pickup truck. He stopped on Dunkirk Road, near the Rona and under the QEW skyway bridge. The man let the dog out of the truck to run around and when it was far enough away he entered the truck and drove away.

The NRAS is looking to identify the driver, the vehicle and the owner of the dog. Anyone with information is asked to call 905-682-0767.
