Sunday marked a significant milestone in New Zealand.  The country had been free of the Covid-19 virus for one-hundred days plus. As a result, bars, restaurants and sports facilities were beginning to fill up with citizens not fearing getting infected. But, the coronavirus will have long-lasting effects. With New Zealand’s borders still closed, the tourism industry has collapsed and the five-million residents are feeling more isolated than ever.
