New Years levees

Municipalities are preparing for their annual New Year’s levees.

Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina has invited residents for light refreshments from 1 to 3pm on New Year’s Day.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will also host a levee from 2 to 4. He almost called off the annual meet and greet last year because of a conflict of interest case, but was able to re-schedule. The tradition is meant to give city residents a chance to mingle with their mayor and councillors.
