New Team Canada jerseys leak

We’re getting our first look at the jersey Team Canada will wear on the ice at the 2014 games in Sochi, and they are getting mixed reviews.

They were not supposed to be released until October 8th, but today a photo of three Team Canada hockey jerseys surfaced online.

The image was posted on Reddit today by someone working in a sporting goods store, and they say these ones just came in. You can see the red and white jerseys have a different look than what we’re used to, and there is also the black third jersey.

The red jersey is the same one that surfaced a couple weeks ago in a photo of Chicago Blackhawks forward Johnathan Towes. It was posted and quickly removed by Ghetty images.

Today’s photo, of the three jerseys created some pretty serious twitter backlash. One tweet by Andrew Funston says, “Has anyone seen the new Team Canada Jersey’s? Was their inspiration a Petro-Canada Gas Station? Not a fan. #Sochi2014 #TeamCanada”.

Hockey Canada has not commented on this latest photo. They have said previously that there will be a story behind the jerseys when they are unveiled in 2 weeks time.
