New St. Catharines hospital opens Sunday

Niagara’s new billion dollar hospital is now up and running.

The hospital located on Fourth Ave. is officially called the St. Catharines Site of the Niagara Health System.

Over 200 patients from St. Catherines General, as well as hospitals in Welland and Niagara Falls were transferred to the new site on Sunday morning.

The hospital had been under construction for 7 years.
