New school and recreation complex may be on its way

Hamilton is one step closer to getting a joint school and recreation complex near the new Pan Am Stadium.

City Councillors have voted to put $17-million towards to project, which would include a city-run recreation centre and a new $32 million public high school where Scott Park used to be.

Council agreed to dig into the Hamilton future fund to cover the $7.5 million funding gap. The decision will be put to a final vote next week.
