New report says Hamilton police inadequately responded to violence at last year’s pride

An independent review has found that Hamilton police should carefully consider diversity and organizational culture review.

A newly released report concludes that police inadequately responded to the homophobic violence at pride last year in Gage Park.

The review was conducted by a law firm in Toronto and involved dozens of interviews with police and community members

The 124-page document found from beginning to end, police did not do enough to protect the public.
