New Oakville hospital construction

Some local and provincial politicians stopped by the site of Oakville’s new hospital Tuesday, to mark a milestone in the building’s construction.

Minister of Infrastructure Bob Chiarelli joined Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn and Mayor Rob Burton, for the pouring of the hospital’s concrete foundation.

Construction on the hospital began last September, and is expected to wrap up in the summer of 2015.

The province, Town of Oakville and the Oakville Hospital Foundation are contributing over $200 million for the project’s completion.
