A new line up route is in effect for the Hagersville “Catch the Ace” as the prize reaches over $1.4 million.

Hagersville Lions Club said in a Facebook post that the lineup for Catch the Ace tickets has been rerouted to keep pedestrians off main roads for safety concerns.

Tickets sales start at 9 am. instead of 10:30 a.m. The Lions Club says they hope this will help with wait times.

The tickets are $10 for one ticket, or three for $20. The sale will end at 7:50 p.m. and the draw is at 8 p.m.

A constant stream of people have lined up outside of the Hagersville Royale Canadian Legion for their shot at the jackpot.

Half of the money raised from the lottery will go to the West Haldimand General Hospital, the local food bank and Hagersville Lions community projects.

Every Thursday, a name is pulled from tickets sold that day where someone wins the weekly jackpot, but so far no one has won the progressive prize.
