New COVID-19 cases at schools in Hamilton and Niagara

COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared at two Hamilton public schools over the weekend.

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board reported 16 cases of COVID-19 at 14 schools Saturday and Sunday.

Lisgar Elementary and Lake Avenue are both now in outbreak.

The Niagara Catholic District School Board is reporting a new COVID-19 case at Loretto Catholic Elementary School. There are now seven confirmed cases there.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Elementary School in St. Catharines now has four positive cases of the virus.

Two new cases were reported at the District School Board of Niagara – one at Harriet Tubman Public School and one at Ontario Public School. The board has closed one classroom at each school.
