Nelson Mandela spends tenth day in hospital

Nelson Mandela is spending his tenth day in a South African hospital, while being treated for a lung infection.

Today, his wife thanked supporters for their prayers during his hospitalization.

This is Mandela’s fourth stretch of treatment since December. He contracted Tuberculosis while he was in prison under South Africa’s apartheid regime, which has been blamed for his frequent lung problems.
