NDP calls for expanded Service Ontario hours
The NDP is calling for expanded hours at Service Ontario locations after complaints about long wait times.
Niagara Centre MPP Jeff Burch says he’s received a number of complaints from residents who have been stuck waiting in long lines.
Burch says that many of the complaints have been coming from seniors who say they are worried about being infected with COVID-19 while waiting in line.
Due to the pandemic, some Service Ontario locations have remained closed or reduced their operation hours.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says there was an issue even before the pandemic.
He has asked the province to add a second location to the city more than two years ago.
