National Indigenous Peoples Day observed across Canada

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Events are taking place coast to coast across Canada to honour the history and culture of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis.

It’s held annually on June 21st – centered around the summer solstice because of its significance – the longest day of the year.

And while it’s a day to celebrate Indigenous culture and history… it’s also a day to reflect on the past and make sure we’re moving forward with reconciliation.
