Murder Hornets arrive on the West Coast of Canada

Giant insects dubbed the murder hornets have been found in Washington State near the Canadian border out West.
The world’s largest hornet is a 2-inch killer dubbed the “murder hornet” and normally lives in the forests and low mountains of eastern and southeast Asia.
It has an appetite for large insects, including honey bees but it also has a sting that could be fatal to some humans.
Gard Otis, a Professor of Behavioural Ecology and Apiculture at Guelph University joined us to talk about his experience with the “murder hornet”.
