Muppets Most Wanted

Muppets Most Wanted is the sequel to 2011’s The Muppets. During a worldwide tour, Kermit is kidnapped by Constantine, an infamous criminal that bears a striking resemblance to the Muppet’s amphibious leader. The group winds up in the middle of an international crime caper and must find out what happened to the real Kermit before it’s too late. Just like the last Muppets movie, this one boasts a star-studded human cast that includes Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and a host of celebrity cameos.

Being satisfied with his work and involvement on the 2011 film, Jason Segel, who wrote and starred in the last movie, opted not to return for the sequel. His writing partner Nicholas Stoller stayed on however, as did director James Bobin and musical supervisor Bret McKenzie. McKenzie won the Best Original Song Academy Award in 2012 for writing “Man or Muppet”.
