Multiple fire alarm in Hamilton causes over $300K in damages

A fire in Hamilton on Sunday resulted in an estimated excess of $300,000 in damages, according to the Hamilton Fire Department.
The structural fire was reported to the fire department on Stone Church Rd. East on the Hamilton Mountain just after 12 p.m.
Fire crews on scene reported heavy smoke and fire coming out of the unit.

First responders say it was immediately upgraded to a multiple alarm fire due to its aggressiveness and potential spread to other units.
There was one person in the home and they were able to get themselves out. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The fire started on the second floor, but the cause has not yet been determined.
