Multi-vehicle crash closes Highway 401

The commute has been brutal this morning for anyone coming from Guelph, Cambridge or Kitchener.
About 3 am, several vehicles, including 4 tractor-trailers collided on the westbound 401, just east of Highway 6 south in Puslinch. The fuel tank of one of the trucks was punctured.
Roads were partially covered in snow; crews had not yet salted the highway.
No one was seriously hurt.
Eastbound lanes were open but moving slowly, with backups reported from Puslinch, all the way back to Cambridge.
The OPP is asking people to use caution. The highway reopened at 8:30 am.
