Muggers on bikes in Hamilton

Hamilton police are looking for a group of teenagers on BMX bikes after they threatened a group of young men.

Police say the teenagers were walking on Upper Paradise Road near Stone Church Road Monday night when they were approached by the BMX bikers.

One of them had a wrench.

They are described as white teens, aged 15 to 16 years old.

And around 1:30 Tuesday morning, a 23 year old man was approached by three teens, on BMX bikes again, on Hamilton mountain.

This time, one of them had a gun.

It happened on Upper James near Hester Street.

Police say the teens demanded the man hand over his cell phone, but he refused, and they took off.

Police are looking for three black teens, around 17 years old.

All were wearing sweatshirts.
