MTO and Hamilton Police perform joint safety blitz

Four trucks that shouldn’t have been on the road were taken out of service by Hamilton Police during a joint safety blitz, with Transportation Ministry Officials in Binbrook today.
Even pickup trucks used in a business can fit in that category, if they’re carrying enough of a load. Police and the MTO took four trucks off the road after a day of inspections, including one with a suspended driver and another with an expired inspection sticker.
Flat tires are common, a driver might not notice if an inner tire has deflated, and bad brakes might be the most common defect the MTO finds. Any warning signs will cause the inspector to go under for a more intense inspection.
