Motorcyclist injured, Highway 20 closed after collision in Pelham

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital and a stretch of Highway 20 is closed following a serious collision in Pelham Friday morning.

Niagara police responded to a collision on Highway 20 between Rice Road and Cataract Road around 11:16 a.m.

Officers say the crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.

Ornge Air says the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, has been transported to an out-of-region trauma centre for advanced medical care.

Highway 20 remains closed between Rice and Cataract Roads as police await a medical update on the driver of the motorcycle.
