Motorcyclist, 28, airlifted to hospital after being ejected: OPP

A 28-year-old motorcyclist is in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Norfolk County.

Officers were called to a crash on Lower Side Rd. in Houghton around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Ontario Provincial Police says the rider had left the roadway and was ejected from the bike. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The motorcyclist was then airlifted by Ornge to a London-area hospital for further treatment.

West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are continuing to investigate the collision.
