Motorcycle crash victims identified

Friends and family members have identified the two people killed in last night’s motorcycle crash in Burlington.

Brett Stevenson (left), 31, from Waterdown has been identified as the driver of the motorcycle that crashed when he was trying to turn left from Guelph Line, onto Mountainside Drive. Heather Koerts (right), 31, from Burlington was the passenger.

The crash happened shortly after 9 last night. Both Stevenson and Koerts died at the scene after they were thrown from the bike. Police say a car being driven by a Hamilton man made contact with the bike in the intersection, but they don’t know if it caused the bike’s driver to lose control.
