Morning Live’s Bob Cowan officially retires after 21 years

After 21 years of hosting CHCH Morning Live, anchor Bob Cowan is officially retiring.

Morning Live debuted on February 13th, 2001 and after 5,000 shows Bob Cowan signed off for the last time.

Multiple guests joined Cowan today including Niagara Falls mayor Jim Diodati where Cowan was presented with a key to Niagara Falls. “I had always intended to give him the key at the right time,” Diodati said.

Today, Cowan passed the anchor chair over to Tim Bolen. “It’s the handing over, not of the torch, but the handing over of the coffee mug,” Cowan said.

While Bob will finally be getting some much-deserved time to sleep in, he will be dearly missed by his team and the community.
