A day after a flurry of internet buzz about a string of sexual assaults in Toronto, three more women come forward.

These new assaults took place in the same pattern as six other cases from the Annex and Kensington Market areas of the city. Police believe in all instances the suspect is the same.

Thursday the story blew up across the internet as Toronto mayor Rob Ford’s niece tweeted, “Stay alert, walk tall, carry mace, take self-defence classes & don’t dress like a whore.” That tweet sparked an outcry from women’s rights groups and the public at large. One of the alleged victims also took to Facebook following the tweet to reply to Ford.

The suspect is being described as a black man with a stocky build.
