More West Nile locations in Hamilton
Hamilton Public Health Services says seven batches of mosquitoes with west nile virus have been discovered.
Two positive mosquito pools were found in lower Stoney Creek, two in lower east Hamilton, two in Dundas and one on the central mountain.
This brings the total for the season up to 14.
However, there has only been one human case confirmed in Hamilton, and eight in all of Ontario.
The city is reminding people to take extra precautions to avoid mosquito bites and infection.
