More suspicious packages found at store

A Toronto costume store had its doors closed again Tuesday morning after a police bomb squad located two more suspicious packages.

There’s no word yet on whether the two new packages contained explosives.

Firefighters and the bomb squad used a robot to search the building and remove the packages. The fourth package was destroyed last night, and the fifth was found this morning.

Amazing Party and Costume — off the Gardiner Expressway just west of Islington — was forced to close over the Halloween weekend after three suspicious packages were found inside.

Police say two of the three did contain explosive devices, and said they could cause serious damage or even death.

The store put out a statement saying it was closed until further notice.

Late Tuesday a seventh package was discovered. Organized crime investigators have been called in.
