More EMS funding
The Liberals announced a 4.5% increase in funding for EMS services in Hamilton.
That translates to an increase of $746,000 and more than $17-million in funding this year for land ambulance services in the city. The Liberals say the government will continue to work with municipalities to meet the commitment to fund 50% of land ambulance operating costs. MPP Ted McMeekin says the province funds half of the costs and municipalities pick up the tab for the other half.
