More charges in sex assaults

Police have laid additional sexual assault charges against a former national level figure skater and skating coach, dating back to the 1980’s, who coached in Burlington.

A former student has come forward, accusing 53 year old Kevin Hicks of sexually assaulting him when he was 12 years old. Hicks is charged with three counts of indecent assault of a male.
Last September, Hicks was charged with sexually assaulting a 12 year old boy who was one of his students between 1983 and 1990. Hicks coached with skating clubs in Woodbine, Weston, Windsor and Burlington. Police believe there may be more victims.
