Montreal man among those killed in attack at Israeli music festival

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) has identified a man from Montreal as one of the killed when Hamas attacked a music festival in Israel over the weekend.
The CIJA says that Alexandre Look was in Israel for the Supernova music festival when he was killed in an attack at the festival being held near the Israel-Gaza border.
Canadian Alexandre Look was murdered by #Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival in #Israel.
“Alex was visiting #Israel & died in one of the terrorist attacks, as he heroically & selflessly saved others while fending off the attackers.”

Chabad of Westmount Educational Centre in Montreal also confirmed the news in a Facebook post saying, “It is with shock, disbelief, and a deep sense of grief that we come to understand the totality of the devastating attacks on Israel.”
“Our dear and treasured friends, and members of our community, Alain and Raquel Look, lost their son, Alex.”
The Chabad has begun an emergency fund for the Look family in the wake of his death.
At this time Global Affairs Canada has confirmed that one Canadian has died and two have been reported as missing since violence erupted in Israel.
