Monster trucks took over Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre this weekend.

Canadian driver Cam McQueen took some time to sign autographs and take pictures with fans Sunday.

Monster trucks ripped up the arena during the two-day Maple Leaf Monster Jam. At about four metres tall and four metres wide, the trucks are built for short, high-powered bursts of speed. Each monster jam tuck generates between 1,500 and 2,000 horsepower and can fly up to 40 metres.

“The fans here on the Maple Leaf Tour are amazing. Here in Hamilton it’s one of the busiest pit parties I’ve seen all year,” said McQueen.

The tour’s next stops in Halifax in May.
