Moms’ Night Out

Moms’ Night Out is a comedy directed by Andrew and Jon Erwin. Sarah Drew, Patricia Heaton, and Andrea Logan White star as three friends dealing with the everyday stress of motherhood. To shake things up they decide to let their husbands take care of the kids while they treat themselves to a night out on the town. Unfortunately , what was meant to be a fun night to themselves soon descends into a chaotic mess involving missing babies, tattoo parlours, and tasers. The film co-stars Sean Astin, Trace Adkins, and David Hunt.

Moms’ Night Out is the latest faith-based film to hit theatres, continuing a growing trend  in 2014. It has been a banner year for the genre, which has seen releases such as Son of God, God’s Not Dead, Heaven is for Real, and to a certain extent Noah, all performing well at the box office. All four of those films are in the top 20 highest grossing films so far this year, so it will be interesting to see if this film shares in that success.
