Moment of silence at White House to mark 500K COVID-19 deaths in America

There will be a moment of silence and a candle-lighting ceremony at the White House Monday at sunset.
The moment will mark 500,000 Americans who have died from COVID-19.
The United States is expected to pass that milestone today, just over a year after the first confirmed U.S. fatality of the pandemic.
President Joe Biden will deliver remarks to honour those who lost their lives.
He will be joined by his wife, Jill Biden, as well as Vice-President Kamala Harris and her husband.
