Mississauga rescue
A man has been airlifted to hospital after an accident at a construction site in west Mississauga.
Firefighters conducted a high-angle rescue after the 30 year old man dropped about 5 metres at the construction site.
He reportedly fell off a scissor lift onto concrete and was trapped underground.
It happened at a pumping station on Sheridan Park Drive near the QEW and Erin Mills Parkway.
There’s no word yet on his injuries, but police say the man was conscious and breathing.
He was airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital.
The Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident.
