Mississauga driver uninjured after shovel smashes through windshield

It was a close call for a driver on Highway 403 Tuesday afternoon when a shovel flew through the windshield of their vehicle.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) shared a photo on Twitter showing the damaged vehicle on the eastbound lanes of Highway 403 at Mavis Rd. in Mississauga.
Officers said no one was injured.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the shovel likely fell off the load of a truck or something that was not secured properly.
Schmidt said the incident could have been prevented and serves as a reminder to tie down loose cargo on your vehicle.
