A man has turned himself in to police after a hit and run in Brampton.

A 41-year old woman died overnight following a domestic assault  in Mississauga Saturday night.

Police responded to call about a disturbance at 5:45pm at a home on Southfork Drive.

Vaishali Patel was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but succumb to those injuries.

Her 20-year old son has been charged with Second Degree Murder. Kunal Bhavan is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton later today for a bail hearing.

It is the Region of Peel’s 13th homicide of the year.
