Missing Hamilton teen reunited with mother in U.S.

Hamilton Police say a girl who went missing and was taken to Mexico last August has been reunited with her mother in the U.S.

Amanda Memmolo was reported missing on Aug. 1, 2017.

She had been living on the Hamilton Mountain with her father, her grandparents, and her uncle.

She was 16 years old at the time but according to police, she functions at the level of a 12-year-old and suffers from epilepsy.

On Aug. 16, Hamilton police revealed Memmolo was with her uncle in Mexico.

According to a police update, Memmolo returned to the U.S. from Mexico on Apr. 28.

She was located by the FBI and reunited with her mother in Daytona Beach.
