Milton man facing multiple child sex abuse, child pornography charges

A 36-year-old Milton man is facing multiple child pornography and child sex abuse charges.

Omar Ashi was first arrested on Dec. 29 in connection with making child pornography and other child-abuse-related offences.

Police say he was arrested again on Wednesday and faces further charges including two counts each of possession of child pornography and voyeurism, and one count each of assault and forcible confinement.

They say the alleged incidents happened in Milton and Burlington over a span of several years.

Police have released his photo and believe there may be additional victims.

Investigators say Ashi also goes by the name Omar Ashi-Popp.

He has been held pending a bail hearing.
