Milton man, 51, charged with sexual assault: police

Halton police have arrested and charged a 51-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault investigation.

Officers said the offences happened between November 2021 and June 2022.

Edward Oliveira of Milton was arrested on June 29 and held for a bail hearing. He has been charged with six different offences, including three counts of sexual assault.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims.

Police are encouraging anyone who believes they have been a victim of sexual assault to contact the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970.
