Military shell found in east Hamilton

A military shell has been found in Hamilton’s east end.

Police say a man was digging in a backyard on Hickson Rd. when he discovered the shell.

The bomb disposal unit was called and placed it in a safe container.

Police are investigating to see whether the shell was active or not.
