A judge has ruled that Hamilton police were “grossly negligent” – but not racist – in the arrest and detainment of Michael Dixon.

Michael Dixon launched the suit, after he was wrongly arrested in 2003. He was taken in to custody after he stepped off a GO bus — despite not matching the suspect description, in a jewelery store robbery. Dixon was awarded $46,000. Amanda Blitz spoke to Dixon live on CHCH’s Evening News Tuesday night:
